Well, sound the alarms (and preheat the ovens): 85°C Bakery in Salmon Creek is officially in soft opening mode. After months of drive-bys, construction peeks, and ruminations, the trays are out and the pastries are calling. Yes, now is the time to TREAT YOSELF.

đ Port of Vancouver Has Chosen its 2026 Community Recipients
The Port of Vancouver just dropped anchor on its 2026 Community Fund awards, handing out $2,500 grants to five local projects! Hudsonâs Bay High Schoolâs Construction Trades Program will use its grant to host nine Saturday build days, while Latinos Unidos y Floreciendo is backing youth leadership at 78th Street Heritage Farm.
The Vancouver Arena Project scored funding for its annual PokĂŠmon Go-Fest (gotta fund âem all), and Vancouver Ballet Folklorico plus Luminarias DĂa de Muertos will keep culture and color front and center. Workforce training, tourism, and Pikachu? Guess the Port is really into diversifying their portfolio!
