š A Popular Local Coffee Shop is Closing
Monday, December 15th in Vancouver, Washington

Happy Monday, Vancouver!
Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate! As the candles light up, and the rain decides to move in for (what feels like) an extended residency, weāre balancing a little heartbreak with a lot of hope this week. Weāre saying a sad goodbye to a beloved local coffee shop (pour one out⦠preferably something hot), while also buzzing over very exciting news about a potential new performing arts center that could bring even more music, theater, and culture to our city.

LOCAL NEWS
āļø Presso Coffee on Fourth Plain Is Shutting Down Permanently
Bad news for your morning routine: Presso Coffee on Fourth Plain is officially closing up shop. The kitchen will serve its last bites on December 15t, and the last day for drinks, vibes, and one final caffeine-fueled goodbye is December 31st, meaning you can ring in the new yearā¦with a broken heart. Pressoās two other locations in Camas and Portland will remain open.
š Vancouver is Working on Building a Stand-Alone Performing Arts Center
City leaders are actively planning a new downtown performing arts venue that can flex from an intimate 400ā600 seats to a full ~1,000 seats for bigger showsā¦kind of like stretchy pants for performances?!
So whatās the goal with this new performing arts center? Support local artists and bring in touring acts more than 300 days a year. The site is near the to-be-built Hilton Convention Center and Waterfront connector. City Council is expected to review costs and funding in early 2026. Weāll keep you updated as we know more!
