Happy Monday, Vancouver!

Ahhh, yesterday’s rain…what a refreshing little reminder that fall might be on its way… or it might not.

September in Vancouver is a mystery: could be sweater weather, could be popsicle weather, could be both in the same afternoon. All we know is we’re rooting for the trend line to keep inching downward. In the meantime, we’ve got some big school updates and, believe it or not, a heaping lineup of weekday events you won’t want to miss.

After a 12-day strike and three delays, Evergreen kids finally returned to school…on a Friday. The Evergreen Classified Staff ratified their contract! In other news…

🚌 Vancouver Public Schools Votes to Strike

Vancouver Public Schools’ education support professionals voted Thursday night to authorize a strike. No date is set yet…so for now, the only thing on the calendar is uncertainty.

🥗 New Amaro’s Table Will Open in October in Former Hopworks Location

Hopworks Urban Brewery’s East Vancouver location may have tapped out in August, but East Vancouver isn’t staying thirsty for long…Amaro’s Table is sliding into the Mill Plain space sometime in October 2025. Ale yeah!
