✈️ DB Cooper, Emo Night, and Bad Art
Thursday, November 13th in Vancouver, Washington

Happy Thursday, Vancouver!
Believe it or not, Thanksgiving is two weeks from today, which means it’s time to start mentally preparing for mashed potatoes, awkward family conversations, and possibly a second helping of pie…or third.
But before we get there, this weekend is packed: literally everybody and their mom seems to be performing a musical or play, there’s an emo night for those feeling extra dramatic, and yes, you read that right: a DB Cooper convention.
Anyways, here's what to expect in today's edition of The PNW Report (Vancouver):

🗣️ City Council to Rethink Community Forums After Low Turnout & Rowdy Crowds
The Vancouver City Council’s final community forum of 2025 (set for November 24th at City Hall) might be the last one for a while…at least in its current form. After seeing dwindling attendance and a few too many heated moments at recent meetings, city leaders are considering hitting pause to rethink how (and where) these forums are held.
The goal? To make them more effective, engaging, and maybe a little less shouty. Council members say they want to meet residents where they’re at (literally and figuratively) and explore new ways to connect beyond the traditional mic-and-podium setup.
If you want to have your say before the city goes back to the drawing board, this is your chance: the final forum happens November 24th from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Vancouver City Hall (415 W. Sixth St.).
🏥 Downtown PeaceHealth Esther Short Clinic Closing 12/5/25
Peace out, PeaceHealth (at least downtown). The Esther Short Primary Care Clinic will officially close its doors on December 5th, with all patient records merging into the Camas location. This follows another closure (the PeaceHealth Vancouver Rehabilitation Clinic on Park Plaza Drive, set to shut down November 21st).
PeaceHealth says the move is part of a plan to “better meet patient needs,” though locals might just call it another round of healthcare musical chairs. The good news? Services will continue at the Camas clinic, and most of the familiar staff are sticking around…just with a longer commute!
