Happy Monday, Vancouver!
Both Vancouver Public Schools and Evergreen School District are officially on spring break, which means fewer school drop-offs, more midday Target sightings, and a general sense that time doesnāt matter this week!
And can we talk about this weather?! Itās been absolutely incredible! Sunshine, warmth, joy?! The only catchā¦the allergies are absolutely destroying us. Like, eyes-watering, sneeze-attacks-in-public levels of bad.

But despite the pollen trying to take us out, Vancouver is still delivering with a ton of events happening this week. So stock up on tissues, grab your antihistamines, and letās make the most of it!

š± Vancouver Public Schools Only Has 4 Days of Cash Reserves
An audit of Vancouver Public Schools has revealed that they are running on four days of cash reservesā¦yes, FOUR. š¬ The audit shows rising costs, dropping enrollment, and a budget gap (thatās leading to nearly 200 job cuts next year). The district says itās āliving paycheck to paycheckāā¦but like⦠with thousands of students depending on it. Cuts, closures, and borrowing are all on the table as they try to dig out of a $24M hole.
