🌠 May the Fourth Be With You, Vancouver

Monday, May 4th in Vancouver, Washington

In partnership with

Happy Monday, Vancouver!

That's right, it's Star Wars Day, and we are absolutely going to milk that pun for everything it's worth.

But before we get to the lightsabers and the nostalgia, let's talk about the week ahead…because our (not-so-little) city is out here quietly becoming one of the most exciting food and coffee cities in the Pacific Northwest, and we have the receipts.

This week: yet another new food cart pod is coming to East Vancouver, a popular local coffee shop just opened its fourth location (yes, fourth), a much-loved Mexican restaurant in Felida closed over the weekend, and there is somehow a Star Wars celebration and a screening of Episode IV happening today. May the fourth? More like May the packed.

Anyways, here's what to expect in today's edition of The PNW Report (Vancouver):

LOCAL NEWS

ā˜• Compass Coffee Just Opened Its Fourth Location…and It Headed East!

If you've been a fan of Compass Coffee Roasting since their early days, they've now grown from their original downtown cafĆ© to a roastery on St. Johns Road, then opened a third spot in Washougal in September 2025. And now? A fourth location has opened on the east side of Vancouver…if you’re in East Vancouver and have been making the drive downtown for your Compass fix, your commute just got a whole lot shorter. Go check it out and report back. Check out our first look here → @thepnwreport.vancouver on Instagram!

🌮 Los Potrillos Mexican Restaurant in Felida Has Permanently Closed

We hate to be the bearer of guac-awful news, but Los Potrillos Mexican Restaurant in Felida has officially closed its doors for good. We’re definitely feeling a little chip on our shoulder today knowing that their margaritas are a thing of the past (especially right before Cinco de Mayo!) Don’t spill the salsa just yet, though…there’s a silver lining! If you’re still craving their signature flavors, you can still get your fix at their Camas location, which remains open and ready to serve. It’s a bit of a drive, but hey, it’s nacho average Mexican food, so it’s worth the trip!

šŸŗ New Tap House and Food Cart Pod Being Built by McKenzie Stadium in East Vancouver

Construction has officially started on Evergreen Outpost, a new food truck pod/tap house located in the same parking lot as the Dutch Bros on 138th Avenue. At the center of the action is Tucker’s Taps: a 3,200 square foot tap house named after the owner’s legendary pup. Evergreen Outpost will be surrounded by a curated pack of 9 local food carts, outdoor seating with heat/firepits, TVs, and more. Get ready to ā€œsit and stayā€ a while…because this place is definitely going to be the pick of the litter in Vancouver!
