Happy Monday, Vancouver!

Big news to start your week: Vancouver has officially chosen a new city flag! Finally, something to wave when we’re celebrating alllllllllll the things we love about this city (the first thing being that our flag no longer looks like it was made in MS Paint).

And the hops keep flowing because Northbank Beer Week is still going strong…perfect timing if you need a liquid excuse to celebrate the new flag. And for those whose preferred therapy is laughter, you’re in luck, because this week is packed with comedy events.

Curious about the machines that might one day take your job? Come meet them in person at Clark College’s Mechatronics Open House, where you can tour the Columbia Tech Center Campus, poke at some impressive gadgets, and chat with instructors. This event is open to the public!

🏃‍♂️ Run Club @ Foot Traffic | 5:45PM (FREE)
Looking for an excuse to be active but mostly just want to socialize? This run club is 50% chatting, 50% running, and 100% a good time. They meet at the Trader Joe’s on Chkalov, you know, just in case you wanna grab some cheese for the drive home.

Attention, civilians! The 37th Annual Lough Legacy Veterans Day Parade is marching into Fort Vancouver to celebrate Veteran’s Day. Watch 75+ entries (marching bands, military vehicles) roll out in full formation to honor our nation’s heroes.

At ease, everyone! After the parade, march yourself over to the Veterans Day Open House at Pearson Air Museum, hosted by the Community Military Appreciation Committee.
