🐍 Reptiles, Rentals, and a Throwdown
Monday, June 16th in Vancouver, Washington
Happy Monday, Vancouver!
Father’s Day is officially in the rearview mirror (congrats to all who survived the grill smoke and car shows), and now we’ve got our eyes on the prize: the sweet, sweet promise of a three-day weekend in just 19 days (but who’s counting?). Until then, we’re filling the time with the usual suspects: live music, farmers markets, and yes, live reptiles.
Here's what to expect in today's edition of The PNW Report (Vancouver)😀

LOCAL NEWS
🏡 City of Vancouver To Adopt Rental Unit Registration Code
The City of Vancouver is eyeing a brand-new way to keep tabs on its 40,000+ rental units…because who doesn’t love paperwork and fees? Starting in 2026, landlords will need to register their rentals annually (yes, every. single. year.) for the low, low price of $30 per unit. In return, the city promises better housing quality, safety, and maybe even a PowerPoint or two on tenant-landlord harmony. If you’re thinking of skipping registration, just know your property may no longer be legally rentable…and the city has big feelings about that. Exemptions? Sure, if you live in your own rental or offer income-restricted housing. Everyone else, welcome to the spreadsheet.
