October has just barely arrived, and thereās already so much going on: falling leaves, spooky season decorations multiplying like gremlins, and (most importantly!) Taylor Swiftās brand-new album dropping Friday!!
Vancouver Swifties will be trading friendship bracelets this weekend with a few T-Swift themed events. Add in First Friday, new restaurants and shops opening their doors, about a thousand other things happening, and youāve got yourself a weekend thatās unbeatable!

Clear your calendars and hide your wallets: The new TJ Maxx replacing the former Big Lots in East Vancouver (2100 SE 164th Ave) is officially opening Nov. 13. Prepare for the chaos of cart jousting in the candle aisle and fighting strangers over throw pillows. Ah, the suburbs!

Move over, 7-Eleven taquitosā¦Burton Road is about to glow up! Local developers are bringing V Market (8417 NE Burton Road), a high-end convenience store that promises āfresh and gourmet food you canāt find anywhere elseā (so, not nacho cheese from a pump). Bonus: the space will also house Beer Paradise, a tap house aiming to open by Christmas. With solar panels, EV spots, and more bougie vibes than a Plaid Pantry could dream of, this isnāt your average convenience store!
