Happy…something, Vancouver! If you’ve lost all sense of time, you’re not alone. The days between Christmas and New Year exist in a strange limbo where calendars are optional and leftovers are a complete food group. Happy hour has officially splashed down at The Yard Milkshake Bar! This beginner-friendly mixed-media workshop invites you to choose your Word of the Year and turn it into a bold, meaningful collage using paint, texture, and creative flair. All supplies included, zero pressure, and way more inspiring than a gym membership.

🎉 New Year’s Eve @ The Elbow Room | 4PM ($65)
New owners, new year, same excellent excuse to celebrate early. The Elbow Room is syncing its countdown to the East Coast, so you can clink glasses at a reasonable hour with Miller High Lifes (yes, the Champagne of Beers), caviar-topped tater tots, freezer martinis, tarot, astrology, and vinyl vibes.

Ring in the New Year with a little stage-fright (the fun kind) at the Magenta Theater! Three Jam Session bands will keep the vibes loud, the dancing lively, and the countdown moving faster than you can say “encore.” Sip beer or wine, grab concessions, and welcome the new year with jazz hands instead of noisemakers.

🎉 Vancouver New Year’s Eve @ AC Hotel | 7PM ($150)
Go full glam at Vancouver’s 21+ New Year’s Eve Ballroom Gala at the AC Hotel Waterfront. There will be DJs, live music from Baz Moto, aerial performances by Aerial Muse Collective, a Champagne toast, buffet, VIP photobooth, and emcee Ken Boddie of KOIN TV. Proceeds benefit SHARE Vancouver…so you can party fancy and do good!
